Eel Head Kaimas

One of the five major Kaima species, the Eel-Heads are considered the scariest of the five (even for other Kaimas) due to the second set of semi-transparent eyelids they use to protect their eyes from saltwater. Males are often bigger than females. Ell-Heads are so far the largest species of Kaimas, surpassing their cousins the Emperor Kaimas in size. They're not very fast, but they make it up with their strength and brute force. Makes have spine-like fins on their backs, but their purpose it's not fully understood. Eel-Heads prefer colder climates, with their reserved of way keeping them warm and able to endure months without feeding. Their favorite meals are often narwhals and seals. 
While gentle in nature, when provoked they can be dangerous adversaries, as whaler ships have discovered when they try to kill their hatchlings. The fins at the sides of their jaws can be used as clue to the Eel-Heads' mood.
