Description

The last remaining Basilisk, Víbora's life was hard, and when he thought he had found light a beautiful goddess named La Muerte, it was taken from him by Xibalba. However, he is willing to win La Muerte back, whether she wants it or not.

Bio
The last of his kind, Víbora was found as a hatchling in the borders of Aztlan. No one knew what happened to his parents nor where he came from, other than he was a Basilisk. He was raised by the gods of Aztlan, when he was just a hatchling he befriended a godling named La Muerte, and soon he fell in love with her. However, when La Muerte met Xibalba, it was clear that she had deeper feelings for the dark godling, and Víbora feared she might forget about him. This turned partly true when La Muerte fell in love with Xibalba, and the latter proposed to her. In desperation, Víbora tried to make La Muerte his, but Xibalba saved her in the last moment and, as punishment for his deed, Víbora was imprisoned in the Land of the Forgotten, where he awaits his revenge...

Appearance
Víbora has the appearance of a large snake, with two pairs of white horns on both sides of his head. His scales are a rusted red, with a darker tone on his back and yellow underbelly. Two fangs stick out from his mouth, his most deadly weapon, for a basilisk's venom can kill even gods. Víbora's eyes are usually golden, but when using his Deadly Gaze, a power to kill anything(gods including) with just one gaze, they glow orange.

Personality
During his childhood, Víbora was innocent, like all children, and shy at first. However, as time went on, he gained confidence and even became a bit prideful, thinking himself above gods, though he kept this feelings to himself. He is selfish, and is not willing to lose the things he thinks should be rightfully his, such as La Muerte's love. He adores her, but it turned into an obsession when she chose Xibalba over him, and grew to hate the dark god with all his might. But to La Muerte he is tender and sweet, even though he is willing to separate her from her true love and hurt her to make her his. During his imprisonment in the Land of the Forgotten, Víbora grew bitter and angry over La Muerte's rejection.

Relationships

La Muerte
When they were children, La Muerte and Víbora were good friends and very close. However, when Xibalba came into the picture, she started spending more time with him, making Víbora wonder if she was not replacing him. When they grew up and she married Xibalba, Víbora was beyond heartbroken, and tried to rape her, though she was saved by Xibalba. After this, La Muerte lost all affection she had for her former friend, and was disappointed at how he had changed. After her death, Víbora was devastated and sought to bring her back at any cost.

Xibalba
Xibalba and Víbora never got along, not even long before their rivalry for La Muerte's love started. Xibalba noted Víbora was possessive of La Muerte, and he didn't like this. Their hatred for each other started when La Muerte chose Xibalba and they married; when Víbora nearly defiled her it was the last straw, and Xibalba imprisoned him in the Land of the Forgotten. They couldn't see each other's picture after that.

Marigold
Víbora's feelings for Marigold are rather complicated. On one hand he feels some physical and emotional attraction to her because she is La Muerte's daughter and her living portrait, but on the other hand hates her for being Xibalba's daughter as well and her birth having caused La Muerte's death. Marigold had no knowledge of Víbora's existence, due to her father never disclosing it to her in fear that she'd be in further danger.
